My precious grandfather "Pa" passed away on Christmas Day, 2010. Merry Christmas? As I like to think of it, Pa got a personal invitation to Jesus' birthday party in heaven. How special is that?Although he will be missed terribly, we are all relieved he is no longer suffering here on earth.
Kinley has had many questions regarding Heaven. Some were; "Can you walk in heaven? Is there time-out in heaven? Do you wear clothes in heaven?" All very important concerns for a curious 4 year-old. After learning there is no time-out in heaven and many other things, Kinley decides she wants to go to heaven too. That night she prayed a precious prayer, asking Jesus to live in her heart forever.
For me, this is yet another confirmation that God's plan is perfect and even through the pain, it is in our best interest. Thank you Lord for our salvation!
Jeremiah 29:11 is my favorite verse of all time and it is so appropriate now.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
